RED SPRINGS, NC—Alton Godfrey, Jr., 68, of Red Springs, NC, died Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.

The funeral will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, March 7, at Peoples Funeral Chapel by Minister Larry Godfrey. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the funeral home chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and Saturday 30 minutes prior to the service.
