HALLSBORO--Edward Thomas Johnson, Jr., 82, of 2383 Red Bug Road, Hallsboro, died Wednesday, January 17, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired U. S. Air Force veteran.
A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 3, at the Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville by Rev. Richard Smith. Immediately following the memorial service, there will be a Dove Ceremony and Military Honors at the home.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Johnson; son, Edward Johnson of Maryland; daughter, Lynne Johnson of Boston, MA; stepson, Kevin Williams of Philadelphia, PA; stepdaughter, Kimberly Copeland of Atlanta, GA; and sister, Eleanor Johnson of Boston, MA.

A true sweetheart Im sorry to hear of your passing,you were a kind soul,im gonna miss running into you at walmart talking and you sharing stories about your grandkids..but I'll never stop sharing the story of you gifting My husband I for christmas one year with a gift card for a wonderful dinned at dales seafood im forever greatful.you are awesome you will be missed.
